Tigers tennis teams improve
The week got better for Mountain Home Tiger tennis teams, with the boys picking up two wins, the girls one.

The Tigers traveled to Bishop Kelly last Monday for a conference tennis match. The Tiger girls lost, 5-2, while the boys were blanked 7-0 by the Knights.
In girls action, Kiana Galloway won the third girls singles match 6-2, 6-1. Heidi Rawlins dropped the first singles match 1-6, 3-6, and Karina Guadarrama lost the second match 1-6, 2-6.
Mountain Home's other win came on girls doubles as Emily Gillies and Rubi Martinez won the second doubles match 6-4, 6-2. Mary Martin and Katelyn McKenzie lost the first doubles match 1-6, 0-6.
In boys singles, Timothy Austin battled hard, but lost the first singles match in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 3-6. Austin Griswold dropped the second singles match 3-6, 0-6 and Toren Lombardo lost the third match 0-6, 0-6.
In boys doubles, Brad Foreman and Hayden Draper lost the first doubles match 0-6, 1-6 and Thomas Fatzinger and Mathew McLean were blanked in the second match 0-6, 0-6.
In mixed doubles, Marc Pelletier and Kaitlyn Stevens lost the first doubles match 1-6, 1-6 and Dalton Barker and Monica Spinazzolo battled tough, but lost in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 4-6.

The Tiger boys edged Middleton 4-3 while the Mountain Home girls narrowly lost, 4-3, to Middleton Thursday in a home match at Richard Aguirre Park.
In girls singles, Karina Guadarrama won the third singles match in three sets, 7-5, 2-6, 6-4. Heidi Rawlins lost the first singles match 0-6, 0-6 and Kiana Galloway lost the second match 0-6, 1-6.
In girls doubles, Mary Martin and Katelyn McKenzie lost the first doubles match 2-6, 0-6 and Kira Anderson and Samantha Feekes lost the second match 1-6, 2-6.
In boys singles, Timothy Austin and Austin Griswold won their matches. Austin won the first singles match 7-5, 6-2 and Griswold won the second match 6-2, 6-2.
Meanwhile, Nathan Gibbons dropped the third singles match, 1-6, 0-6.
In boys doubles, Brad Foreman and Haydon Draper lost the first doubles match 3-6, 4-6 and Jared Shaw and Mathew McLean lost the second match 1-6, 2-6.
Mountain Home captured both mixed doubles matches.
Nick Vogl and Kaitlyn Stevens won the first doubles match in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (TB 2), and Dalton Barker and Monica Spinazzolo won the second match 6-2, 7-6 (TB 4).

Mountain Home came away with a sweep of Jerome Saturday at the Richard Aguirre Park courts.
In girls singles, Kiana Galloway won the first singles match 6-0, 6-1, and Kira Anderson won the third singles match 6-1, 6-4. Karina Guadarrama lost a tough three set match 4-6, 6-3, 5-7 in the second singles match.
Mountain Home swept the girls doubles matches, with Mary Martin and Katelyn McKenzie taking the first doubles match 6-3, 6-2 and Emily Gillies and Tia Senger blanking their second opponents 6-0, 6-0.
In boys singles, Timothy Austin and Toren Lombardo were winners.
Austin won the first singles match in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, and Lombardo won the third singles match 6-2, 6-4. Jared Shaw lost the second singles match 0-6, 0-6.
Mountain Home swept the boys doubles matches as well. Brad Foreman and Haydon Draper won the first doubles match 6-4, 6-4 and Marc Pelletier and Nathan Gibbons won the second match 7-5, 6-1.

The Tigers have this week off for spring break, returning to action next week with a couple of matches. They play at Caldwell on April 3 and go to Jerome on April 5.
