Bruce Lidback

Bruce Burton Lidback, 76, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at a Boise hospital.

Upon Bruce's request, there will be no services. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Bruce was born on March 29, 1937, in Boston, Mass., to George S. and Isebol Lidback, the middle child of four siblings.

Bruce enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1954 at the young age of 17. While Bruce was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base he met his future wife, Janice Mouser. They were married in the fall of 1959. Bruce and Janice welcomed a son, Stanley, and a daughter, Susan, into the family.

The family enjoyed traveling to new places throughout Bruce's 26 years in the military.

Bruce retired from the Air Force in 1980 and the family moved back to Mountain Home.

Bruce enjoyed spending time playing pool with Gerald and other friends, reading, fishing and enjoying Idaho's great outdoors.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Janice, son Stanley and his wife, Sherri Lidback, daughter Susan Lidback, siblings George S., Keith and Margaret Lidback, Oliver (his cat) and Bo (his dog).

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Henry.
