One killed in crash on Highway 20
A Middleton woman was killed and another person seriously injured in a one-car rollover Saturday evening on Highway 20.
According to a report from the Idaho State Police, William Templeton of Middleton was driving a 1978 Shasta van westbound on the highway when he drove off the right shoulder around 9:45 p.m.
Templeton then overcorrected his steering, causing the vehicle to roll over near milepost 100, about five miles east of Mountain Home.
Passenger Debra Templeton, 73, was ejected from the vehicle and died of her injuries at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, William Templeton, 68, was transported via ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise for treatment.
According to the police report, Debra Templeton was wearing a seatbelt prior to the crash although William Templeton was not. The highway was blocked for three hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
