Welsh, Lloyd plan nuptials
Robert and Judy Lemieu of Bruneau, and Ed and Kareen Welsh of Nampa, have announced the engagement of their son, Blake Welsh, to Brenda Ochoa Lloyd, daughter of Cindy and Perry Lloyd of Soda Springs.
Blake is a 2006 graduate of Rimrock High School in Grand View. He participated in baseball, basketball, football and letterman's club.
Blake attended Idaho State University for five years where he studied and received a bachelor's degree in sports management and physical education. He currently works at Courtesy Ford in Pocatello and as an official for the fifth district of the Idaho High School Athletics Association and for the city of Pocatello.
Brenda is a 2007 graduate of Soda Springs High School. She participated in cross country, softball, letterman's club and track. She completed the CNA program and was also a graduate of the LDS seminary program.
Brenda attended Idaho State University where she studied nursing for three years. She currently is employed at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello and works in emergency room admissions. She hopes to pursue a career in elementary education.
Blake and Brenda will be married by President Ronald Hart at Meridell Park in Pocatello, Idaho on Aug. 3. A reception will be held in their honor following the ceremony. The couple is registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Walmart.
Blake and Brenda will make their home in Pocatello, where Blake will attend ISU to receive his teaching credentials while the couple both continue to work.
