Beverly Bidwell
Beverly J. Bidwell, 76, of Mountain Home, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013, at a local hospital.
A memorial service will be held in Puyallup, Wash., at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Beverly was born on March 11, 1937, in Tacoma, Wash., to Ivan J. and Dolly (Young) Hogan. She was 100 percent American Indian and a member of the Puyallup Indian nation all of her life.
She married Pen Allen Bidwell, a U.S. Air Force Airman, on March 8, 1958. Because of his service she has lived in Washington, California, Virginia, Hawaii, Idaho and they retired, in 1975, in Virginia. They also lived in Pennsylvania for 26 years, later settling in Mountain Home. She was a well traveled lady, crossing the USA three times, and seeing Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, Glacier National Park and many other tourist places.
She was loved by everybody no matter where she went, even people who only met her once. She will be missed by everybody.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Pen A. Bidwell, of Mountain Home, and her children, Peter A. Bidwell and Star L. Bidwell both of Mountain Home, Michael A. Bidwell of Luzerne, Penn., and Patrick Bidwell Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, Rose M. Oakley of Tacoma, Wash., Tina M. Vargo of Bloomsburg, Penn., and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren.
