Monday, April 15, 2013

Bailey D. Lake, 61 of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at his home following an extended illness.

Bailey was born May 27, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended grade school in Roberts and then Osgood, followed by Junior High in Shelley and High School in Glenn's Ferry, Idaho.

Bailey married Lore Meserole in 1967 and they welcomed their daughter, Lisa, born the following year. Moving back to the Idaho Falls area in 1969, Bailey and his brother, George, went into custom farming for a few years. Bailey later ran a 4,800-acre potato, grain and hay farm for Clement Brother Farms with his brother Ace and Lynn in American Falls. After that Bailey and Ace farmed in Dubois for two years. The second year, 90% of the seed crops in the county were wiped out by an early frost, ending his farming career.

Some years following his divorce to Lore, Bailey married Donna Henriques in 1986 and they had a son, Bailey Jr. They later divorced.

Bailey was gifted with his hands and could build or fix anything put in front of him. He enjoyed prospecting, gardening, flowers, fishing, the outdoors and spending time with his family.

His children and grandchildren were his greatest treasures on this earth.

Bailey is survived by his daughter, Lisa L Lake Roe (William "Rusty" Roe Jr.), of Meridian, Idaho; son Bailey D Lake Jr. (Brigitte Charboneau) of Portland, Ore. and his stepson, Zach Shore, of Idaho Falls, Idaho. His grandchildren are Krystal Roe, William "RJ" Roe III; Jayden Roe, Chanel Roe, and Sparrow Lake. Bailey is also survived by his brothers Ace Lake (Susan) of Rexburg, Idaho; Lynn Lake (Monique) of Rigby Idaho; stepmother Bonnie Lake; and step-brothers Eugene, Mike and Robin Farmer, as well as his nephews George, John, James, Stephen, David Lake, Tomas Sandoval and his nieces Jessica, Jill, Stacey Lake and Carol Mahlum, Ersinia Jaramillo and Lecresia Sandoval as well as his great neice Levi Lake.

Bailey is preceded in death by his father, George Ray Lake, and his mother, Jessie Mahan Lake, his brothers Leslie K. Lake and George J. Lake, stepsister Melanie Farmer, stepbrother Jody Farmer and niece Jennifer Lake
