Virginia Medley
Virginia Medley, 68, of Mountain Home, passed away Friday morning on Feb. 22, 2013, surrounded by family.
Services will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Riverside Hotel, located at 2900 Chinden Blvd., in Boise. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Virginia was born May 2, 1944, in Nampa, to Earl and Burnette Aldrich.
She married Rodney Medley, also from Nampa, on March 9, 1963, and for nearly 50 years they shared life, love, family and a mutual love of their creator Jehovah.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Rod, two sons, Terry and wife Kimberly Medley, of Mountain Home, Jeff and wife Brenda Medley, of Spokane, Wash., four siblings, Leon Aldrich, Charlotte Miller, Donna Aldrich and Pete Aldrich, four grandchildren, Marilyn, Cassie, Lance and Baily, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her eldest grandson, Cody, on Feb. 17, 2013. Cody was a paramedic and lost his life in an ambulance/car accident while performing his duties in Indianapolis, Indiana. Virginia mourned the loss of her precious grandson, but was deeply consoled by the Biblical promise of the resurrection. John 5:28,29 and John 11:25.
Both Rod and Virginia were active Jehovah's Witnesses and through the years Virginia helped many to come to appreciate promises such as these from the Bible.
