Edward Eugene Hall
Born March 11, 1935, in Mountain Home, Idaho, the seventh child to George R. and Estella May Hall. Gene was a graduate of Mountain Home High School and BYU.
Gene served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1962, receiving an honorable discharge.
Ed has two children from a previous marriage, Gary and Cinda Daniell.
Ed married Alma L.Matthews on Sept. 6, 1963, in Boise, Idaho. They made their home together in Boise, raising two beautiful children, Julie and Mark.
Ed was a talented comedian, singer and athlete. He shared a love of motorcycle racing with his son, Mark, and is a past president of the Owhyee Motorcycle Club.
Ed was employed with Hewlett Packard until his retirement in 1997.
Ed and Alma were sealed in the Boise Idaho, Temple.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Alma, his parents, George R. Hall and Estella May Hall, his elder brothers, George (Laurence) Hall, Douglas Rene Hall and Donald D. Hall.
Ed is survived by his children, Gary Daniell of Boise, Cindi Daniell-Warburton of Glenwood, Iowa, Julie J. Hall-Owen, of Meridian, Mark E. Hall of Boise, his grandchildren, Megan Owen, Tyler H. Hall, Justin Brocket, Trysten Hall, Shantel Hall and Makayla Hall and a great-granddaughter, Brielle Pickford, all of Boise. Ed is also survived by his sisters, Terry V. Bays of Boise, Lorna J. Guthrie of Phoenix, Ariz., brothers Jerry R. Hall of Medford, Ore., and David W. Hall of Boise, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed died peacefully of natural causes at the home of his brother, David W. Hall, on Feb. 19, 2013.
Ed was interned at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise on Feb. 25, 2013.
