Acey Lott
Claude Acey Lott, 54, of Mountain Home, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.
A service will be held on Friday, Feb. 15, at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Acey was born Aug. 8, 1958, in Mountain Home, to Jack and Helen Lott. He graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1976.
He married Elizabeth A. Bermensolo on Nov. 1, 1980. Together, they had three amazing children -- Ben, Luke and Nichole.
Ace learned the construction trade from his father and continued his construction career throughout his lifetime, passing his knowledge along to his sons.
Ace coached soccer for his sons for 11 seasons, starting at the city rec level and continuing into high school, bringing Mountain Home High School's first state championship in 1999.
His daughter, Nichole, was a source of joy and fun. Whether he was teaching her to drive, building her a tree house, or just enjoying her beauty and intelligence, she remained the apple of her dad's eye.
Ace's love for the youth was so strong that he became a "father" to many.
In 2005 Acey and Liz built their home on some acreage south of town where he returned to his passion for outdoors and gardening.
One of Acey's wishes came true with the birth of his grandson, Isaiah.
He is survived by his wife, Liz, son Benjamin, son Luke and his wife, Mary, and daughter Nichole and his grandson, Isaiah.
Acey was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen Lott.
Donations in Acey's memory can be sent to Mountain Home Parks and Recreation Deptartment, P.O. Box 10, Mountain Home, Id 83647.
