Daniel Muckler
Daniel Ray Muckler, 33, formerly of Mountain Home, passed away Jan. 10, 2013, in Arizona.
A life celebration, with full military honors, will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2013, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Dan was born Oct. 11, 1979, in Chandler, Ariz., to Cindy G. and Ronald J. Muckler. When he was 4, he and his mom returned back to Mountain Home.
Dan attended Mountain Home schools and graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1998.
He served six years in the U.S. Air Force and served in Alaska, Iraq, Florida and Arizona.
He then worked as a diesel mechanic for Chandler School District and served two years in the Reserves. He was attending the University of Phoenix with an expected graduation of 2015.
A son, Kayden Anthony Ray-Muckler, was born on Jan. 18, 2006, to Dan and Crystal Ray. Kayden was the love of Dan's life.
Dan was an artist, having done several drawings for community projects. He loved to lift weights, listen to Regae music and watch his favorite football teams play -- the Seattle Seahawks and Boise State University.
Daniel is survived by his son, Kayden Ray-Muckler of Anchorage, Alaska, his mother, Cindy G. Muckler of Mountain Home, his father, Ronald J. Muckler and stepmother Suk of Virginia, two half-sisters, Lisa Sweat and Stephanie Muckler, also of Virginia, two grandmothers, Chiyoko Taylor of Mountain Home and Lawana J. Castl, of Portland, Ore., his uncle Pat and aunt Lana Young of Mountain Home and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Donald C. Taylor and Richard D. Muckler.
