Wrestlers earn wins during dual competition
The Mountain Home Tiger wrestling squad came away with three more wins last week in dual match competition.
Mountain Home 75, Timberline 12
The Mountain Home Tigers won 13 of 15 matches against the Wolves Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Timberline, beating the Wolves 75-12.
Winning by pins were Jordan Pendleton (132), Tyler McCall (152), Jake Ryan (160), Blake Spagnolo (170), Josh Deal (195) and Solomon Chung-Hee (285).
Mountain Home's other points came by an 11-10 decision by Tyler Heath.
Timberline forfeited at six weight classes, giving wins to Jacob Lucas (98 pounds), Seth Dolan (106), Aerial Groene (113), Josh Saporta (120), Tanner Sessions (145) and Taylor Ogaard (182).
Timberline's points came on a forfeit at 126 pounds, and Preston Hyde was pinned by his opponent at 220 pounds.
Mountain Home 54, Twin Falls 25
The Mountain Home squad also wrestled Twin Falls Tuesday night at Timberline and came away with a 54-25 victory.
Mountain Home's points against the Bruins came on a forfeit win by Jacob Lucas at 98 pounds, and pins by Seth Dolan (106), Aerial Groene (113), Josh Saporta (120), Jordan Pendleton (132), Tanner Sessions (145), Jake Ryan (160), Josh Deal 9195) and Solomon Chung-Hee (285).
Losing by minor decisions were Tyler Heath (12-8) at 138 pounds and Blake Spagnolo (12-10) at 170. Losing by major decisions were Tyler McCall )1-8) at 152 pounds and Taylor Ogaard (14-3) at 182. Conner Carpenter lost by technical fall (17-1) at 126, and Preston Hyde lost by pin at 220 pounds.
Mountain Home 45, Jerome 28
Mountain Home hosted Jerome in a non-conference dual last Friday night at Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium and picked up nine wins in a 46-28 victory.
Picking up wins by pins for Mountain Home were Aerial Groene (106 pounds), Jordan Pendleton (132), Tyler McCall (152), Jake Ryan (160), Blake Spagnolo (170) and Solomon Chung-Hee (285).
Winning by decisions were Jacob Lucas (5-2) at 98 pounds, Tanner Sessions (2-1) at 145 and Josh Deal (4-1) at 220 pounds.
Levi Abrahamson lost a 2-1 decision at 138 pounds, Preston Hyde lost a 4-2 decision at 195, Conner Carpenter lost a 9-1 major decision at 126, Taylor Ogaard lost by pin at 182 and Mountain Home forfeited at 113 and 120 pounds.
The Mountain Home Tigers are off for the Christmas break but return to action Jan. 4 and 5 during the Buhl Invitational.
