Bess Tennant

Bessie "Bess" B. Tennant, 87, of Mountain Home, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at a local hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Bess was born on June 5, 1925, in Terraville, S.D., the daughter of William and Kathryn Bauer.

She married Delbert Tennant on Oct. 4, 1980, in Elko, Nev., together the resided in Mountain Home.

Bess was a hard worker and business owner in Mountain Home. She was also a loving mother to her only child, Susan Damron.

She loved the mountains and camping with Delbert. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She took pride in her beautiful yard. Bess enjoyed sewing and was an amazing cook and baker.

Most of all she loved her family and spending time with her loved ones.

Bess is survived by her granddaughter, Victoria, and Steve of Lincoln, Calif., grandsons Mark and Steve Damron of Rocklin, Calif., son-in-law Alan Damron of Rocklin, Calif., brothers Donald Bauer of Mountain Home, Warren Bauer of Mountain Home, sister-in-law Mona Bauer of Mountain Home, seven great-grandchildren, Jessica, Kristina, Courtney, Wyatt, Megan, kylie Sue and Isabella, one great-great-grandson, Gavin, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, and her daughter, Susan Damron.

The family requests that donations in Bessie's memory be sent to the Grace Lutheran Church, 2422 American Legion Blvd, Mountain Home, ID 83647.
