Mitchell Taylor
Mitchell Brent Taylor, 47, of Glenns Ferry, died on November 17, 2012, in King Hill. A memorial service was held at 2PM, on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Mitch was born February 3, 1965, in Boise, the son of Brent Taylor and Susie Coon Taylor. He graduated from Meridian High School with the Class of 1983. He started wrestling at the age of 12 and his fierce determination led to a college scholarship at Boise State University in 1985. He attended BSU from 85 to 87. He also attended Powell Junior College on a Wresting Scholarship in 1987. Mitch was very fond of his coaches Bruce Burnett and Kevin Wood of Meridian High School. After college Mitch helped coach several young men from all over Idaho, leaving with them a lasting impression.
Mitch also enjoyed anything and everything to do with Les Bois Park Racetrack and was the Assistant Starter on the starting gate for several years. Mitch and his brothers worked with horses from a young age for their dad.
Mitch was especially gifted in concrete placement and finishing work.
Mitch made many friends all over the United Sates. He was known for his big smile, big heart and infectious laugh. Mitch never met a stranger.
Mitch met the love of his life Lacey Morrison on February 6, 2010, and they were married on January 23, 2012. With lacey came two beautiful girls Orie and Paisley, they were Mitch's pride and joy.
Mitch also found the Lord and was baptized November 6, 2011, by Pastor Hilario Perez of the First Baptist Church in Glenns Ferry.
Mitch is survived by his wife Lacey Taylor, daughters Orie and Paisley Rau, his father Brent Taylor, his mother Susie Taylor, brother Mike and his wife Kim Taylor, sister Missi Taylor Sluder, brother Mat Taylor and his girlfriend Amy Hart, 5 nieces, 2 nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by Ralph Taylor, Elma Poulsen Taylor, Cliff Coon, Frances Martin Coon, Tommy Sluder.
