Paul H. Ryan
Paul H. Ryan of Nampa, Idaho died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at a local hospital.
Paul lived his early years in Kinzua, OR. His family moved to The Dalles, Oregon in 1943 and he graduated from The Dalles High school in 1946. He received degrees from Multnomah College of the Bible, Lewis and Clark University, Western Baptist Seminary in Portland, Oregon and McCormick Seminary in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1964, he married Nida Jean Clark of Naches, Wa. They moved to Manhattan, Montana where he served the church communities of Pony-Harrison, Ennis, and Manhattan concurrently for many years. He and his family moved back to Oregon in 1983 and he served as minister at the Maryhill Community Church for 13 years.
In 1999, Paul and Nida moved to Grandview, Idaho and pastored the Knight Community church for 10 years until he retired in 2009. In his later years, he was a member of the Nampa First Presbyterian church and enjoyed preaching at the Lighthouse Mission in Nampa, Idaho.
He is survived by his wife, Nida Jean of 48 years; children Laurie Ray (Morey) of Lewistown, MT; Steve Ryan (Tiffany) of Hood River, OR; Loise Bowling (Mike) of Benton, KY; and Tim C. Ryan (Sandy) of Indianapolis, IN; sister Beverly Francis (William) of San Diego, CA; brothers Milton Ryan (Beverly) of Dallles, TX and Ronald Ryan (Donna) of Centralia, WA; 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Virginia Ryan, brother Lawrence Ryan and sister Miriam Doblie.
A memorial fund is set up through Knight Community Church Box 146 Grandview, Idaho 83624 to distribute to local ministries that were dear to Pastor Paul.
