Lady Tigers earn victory
The Mountain Home Lady Tigers volleyball team snapped a two-match losing skid Thursday at Nampa, beating the Lady Bulldogs three games to one.
Mountain Home won the first game 25-14, took the second game 25-23, lost the third game 21-25, but came back to win the fourth game, 30-28, and win the match three games to one.
"The girls played really good tonight," said Mountain Home volleyball coach Steve Mau.
"We are working out a new defensive scheme and still straightening out some kinks, but overall, it was a really well-rounded match against another tough district opponent. I'm very proud of my girls for bouncing back after our lackluster performance against Caldwell. It was a great win tonight."
Selena Foster and Jacci Cristobal both had nine kills against Nampa.
Tessa Pachner had nine kills and four aces. Ksyenya Peterson had 29 assists and five aces. Emma Wenger had five kills and two blocks and Ashley Sessions had 27 digs.
The Lady Tigers hosted Nampa Tuesday night in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium, travel to Columbia Thursday night to take on the Lady Wildcats in conference action, and travel to Wood River High School Friday and Saturday for a tournament.
