Majella L. Foss
Majella "Marge" L. Foss, 79, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2012, in Mountain Home, with her loved ones present.
A rosary was held on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel and a funeral mass was held on Friday, July 13, 2012, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Internment followed at Mountain View Cemetery.
Marge was born on May 20, 1933, in Sanford, Ma., the 10th child of Eliodore and MarieAnne Richard.
She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
She married Conrad C. Foss in February of 1952, in Sanford. She was an Air Force wife who traveled across the United States with her husband and family until Conrad retired from the service and they settled in Mountain Home in 1970.
She worked as a waitress for many years until retiring due to illness.
She attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and participated in church events as often as she was able.
She loved to sew, knit, and crochet, as well as take quick jaunts to Jackpot, Nev., with her friends and co-workers.
She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Marge is survived by her children: Deborah "Debbie" and her husband, Michael Majewski; William "Bill" and his wife, Sally Foss; Robert "Bob" Foss; Laura Taylor; Douglas Foss; Margaret and her husband, Robert Ham; Sharon and her husband, Marc Schafer; her grandchildren, Aleisha Majewski, Sarah and her husband, Patrick Hodgson, Katelyn Foss, Russell Foss, Marie and her husband, Gary Hinckley, Sara Ringer, Joshua Taylor, William and John Foss, Tyler and Aubrey Ham, Michael Scott, Scott Swenson, Kristopher and his wife, Lyndsey Swenson, and great-grandchildren William Anderson, Gavin and Gwendolyn Hodgson, a sister, Deloris Berard, and brothers Paul, Albert and Lionel Richard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad, her parents, Eliodore and MarieAnn, her sisters, Hermance, Geralda, Marie Anna, and her brother, Edgar, in-laws Chester "Chet" and Annie Foss, her youngest child, Annie L. (Foss) Butler, and one grandchild, Christy Ann Taylor.
