Sammie Galluzzo
Sammie L. Galluzzo, 76, of Mountain Home died May 3, 2012, at a local care center. A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church in Mountain Home. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Sammie was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Sam and Eloise (Peacock) Hester. While living in California, Sammie met and married Salvatore "Sam" Galluzzo in November 1965.
A few years later, they moved to Mountain Home to be closer to daughter, Kathy, who was stationed at Mountain Home AFB.
Sammie was a regional bank manager for many years and really enjoyed antiques of all kinds.
Sammie is survived by her husband, Sam of Mountain Home, Idaho; sisters Leota (George) Prange of Nampa, Idaho; Ursulla Brown of California and Lana (David) McGuire of California; and two grandchildren, Hollie Hill and David Fitzgerald, both of Washington.
Sammie is preceded in death by both her parents, son David and daughter Kathy.
