City officials approve plans for new school zone

Seeking to improve pedestrian safety near a local school, the Mountain Home City Council approved plans to add a new school zone on South Haskett Street.

During a meeting March 12, the council unanimously voted in favor of a proposal introduced by the city's traffic safety board.

The plan would create a designated zone in front of Richard McKenna Charter High School, extending from Airbase Road to West 8th South Street.
