Kane Malicoat
Kane Elric Malicoat, 23, of Mountain Home, died on Oct. 25, 2011, at his home. A viewing was held Saturday, Oct. 29, at Rost Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Kane, weighing in at 5 lbs. 15 oz., was born April 26, 1988, at 6:42 p.m. in Bloomington, Ind., to James and Kristi Malicoat. He moved to Idaho in August 2000. He attended Rimrock High School and graduated in 2006. Kane played football, baseball and ran track and he loved to fish and hunt. During high school, Kane worked for Billy Wolf swathing hay. After graduating, he began working for B Transfer.
Kane loved the ocean. His favorite vacation spot was Florence, Ore., where he would explore the tidal pools. He also loved anything fast, which included motorcycles and his red Mustang. Kane was great with anything mechanical. He was always working on a car. Kane had a big heart and would help anyone. He loved animals and would make a pet out of anything, including small lizards and scorpions.
"You can fix it mom, you're a nurse!" was frequently heard.
Kane is survived by his mother, Kristi Malicoat, and maternal grandmother, Rhonda Patterson, both of Grand View, maternal grandfather Donald Brown, Aunt Susan and husband Barry and cousin Talan Andersch, paternal grandmother Kathy Johnson, and great-grandfather Lloyd Stewart, all of Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Ray Malicoat, grandfather James Ray Malicoat Sr., and both paternal great grandparents.
