Letitia Loyd
Letitia Maxine Loyd, 84, of Mountain Home, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 13, 2011.
A memorial service will be held held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Meridian Missionary Baptist Church. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Maxine was born in Picher, Okla., on Sept. 7, 1927, the daughter of William and Lucy Parker. At the age of 2, the family moved to Missouri, where she lived until the age of 19.
In 1947, she moved to Sanger, Calif., where she met her husband, Harold Loyd. They were married on Oct. 13, 1947, in Reno, Nev. They had three children and five foster children. She served the Lord as a pastor's wife for 55 years.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years and two days, her mother, her father and a daughter-in-law.
She is survived by her three children: Donald and his wife, Becky Loyd, of Portland, Ore., Ronald and his wife, Cindy Loyd, of Mountain Home; Lynn and her husband, Roland Vickers, of Spirit Lake, Idaho; a sister, Irene Odom, of Bakersfield, Calif., a brother, Billy Parker, of Marsing, five foster children, Jana, Bobbi, Joshua, Jeanette and Lydia, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
