Michael Sneed
Michael W. "Cornbread" Sneed, 53, of Mountain Home, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at a Boise hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m., at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Mike was born on Oct. 9, 1957, in Glendale, Calif., the son of Mont and Jacqulyn Sneed. He was grew up in Glendale, Columbia, Ky., and Edinburgh, Ind., and graduated from Edinburgh High School. He enjoyed coon and rabbit hunting when he lived in the Mid-West.
Mike married Linda Handt while living in Indiana. Together they had a daughter, Shannon.
Mike later moved to Idaho to be closer to his sisters.
He enjoyed NASCAR and stockcar races, professional football, Christmas Bingo at his sister's home, and always loved a cold one and hanging out with his friends at Adrian's Club.
Mike would always help anyone in need and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Shannon, of Indiana, his sisters, Debbie and her husband, Henry Baker, and Becky Sneed, all of Mountain Home, his sister, Pattie Bailey, of Indiana, his brother, Monty, and his wife, Linda Sneed, of Nevada, his step-father, Benjamin Bailey, of Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
