Mountain Home to host volunteer firefighters convention

Mountain Home will host the annual conference of the Idaho Volunteer Fire and Emergency Services Association from Aug. 25-28.

At least 100 representatives from volunteer fire departments and EMS groups around the state are expected to attend.

The organization was formed five years ago by Mountain Home Fire Chief Phil Gridley, who still serves on its board of directors, along with local firefighter Elsa Guillen.
