Rosie Foster
Rosalie "Rosie" Sharon Foster passed away on June 23, 2011, at a Boise hospital, from a heart attack.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home. Friends and family are invited to share stories and memories of Rosie at the service.
Rosie was born June 16, 1941, in Mountain Home. She had recently turned 70 years old.
Rosie lived her entire life on the Circle L Ranch northeast of Mountain Home, the place where she loved caring for her flowers and animals, especially her sheep.
She married Delmar "Del" Foster, who was enlisted in the Air Force at Mountain Home, on April 3, 1959. They were married in Boise and lived together on the ranch for 52 years.
She was an active leader with the Girls Scouts and 4-H for many years and later in life volunteered at the Mountain Home Senior Citizens Center.
She worked in the lunchroom at the Mountain Home Junior High School for 19 years. Due to illness, she then retired to the ranch with Del.
Rosie is survived by: her husband, Delmar Foster of Mountain Home; daughter Demis Foster of Santa Fe, N.M.; son Robert and his wife, Melinda Foster, and two grandchildren, Sabrina and Riley of Summerville, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family requests that donations in Rosie's memory be made to the Mountain Home Senior Center, 1000 N. 3rd East St., Mountain Home, ID 83647.
