Charles "Chuck" E. Schiller

Charles "Chuck" E. Schiller, 74, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Mountain Home, Idaho, passed away on June 9, 2011, at a Boise hospital as a result of a stroke on May 26. Cremation is under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.

Chuck was born in Emmett, Idaho, to Carl Schiller and Lenore V. Cooper on Dec. 31, 1936. He served in the Air Force for 22 years and then worked for civil service at Mountain Home AFB.

He and his wife, Darlene, enjoyed many years as "Snowbirds" in Arizona and had just returned from Surprise, Ariz., in April. Within the past three years he found himself a new hobby of making dichroic jewelry, which adorns many women. He loved to fish and being an excellent cook, was always looking for new recipes, which appeared on the table at family gatherings. Chuck was a man who was a living testimony of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior, by making sure his family and friends knew they were loved and appreciated with his genuine heart. Chuck was truly a man who believed family was the most important treasure.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene, his daughters, Sharon Rider (Dale) of Independence, Mo., and Karen Grinnell (Vince) of Boise, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In honoring his wishes, which included cremation, there will be no services.
