Track athletes place at state
The Mountain Home Tigers found the competition tough at the State 4A Track and Field competition, but still managed to place in several events.
In the girls competition, Mountain Home finished 13th in the team standings. Jerome won the girls 4A meet.
Mountain Home's 4x100-meter relay team, made up of Heather Williams, Dakota Barrie, Marissa Streeter and Jessica Tindall, came in second, while the 4x200-meter relay team, comprising Heather Williams, Jessica Tindall, Shelby Henrick and Tracey Gordon, finished third.
Dakota Barrie finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and seventh in the high jump.
Eighth-place finishes went to Jessica Tindall in the 100-meter dash, Tracey Gordon in the 200 meters, Kacee Cameron in the long jump, and Kristen Kreutzer in the shot put.
Mountain Home had just two boys competing in three events. J.T. Cristobal came in third in the 100 meters and Alexander Ling was sixth in the 110-meter high hurdles.
The Mountain Home Tigers finished 19th in the overall team standings.
