Legion names Girls, Boys State delegates

Girls State delegates include Karla Rogers, Eille Bryant, Kayla Kleffher, Amanda Klitzke and Megan Porter.

A dozen local high school students earned opportunities to see first-hand how local, state and federal governments function during a yearly mock government exercise.

Students selected for the 2011 American Legion Boys State include five students from Mountain Home High School and one from Richard McKenna Charter High School.

In addition, five female students representing high schools in Mountain Home and Glenns Ferry were selected to attend this year's American Legion Auxiliary Girls State event.

Boys State delegates include William A. Negri, Levon P. Braatz, Nicolas R. Duvall, Elijah J. Nixon and Colby D. Hall, Not pictured are Andrew J. Hoskins and Brian J. Nelson.
