Robert Blanksma
Robert Harold Blanksma, 66, passed away April 5, 2011, at a local hospital.
He was born in Tampa, Florida on April 23, 1944, to Harold and Geraldine Blanksma, the first of four sons.
Rob was raised in Nampa, Idaho, on the family farm. He graduated from Nampa High School in 1962, then went on to the University of Idaho to earn a degree in soils. It was an education that served him well as he farmed with his father, brothers and nephews in the Mountain Home, Bruneau and Hammett areas for most of his adult life.
In October 2000, Rob married Gloria Alicia Palomino.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Roger.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia, and her children, Trina and Ethan, his brothers, Jeff (Nancy) and Jim (Kristine) and nieces and nephews Carri, Jeff, Nick, Mary, Matt and Megan.
The family invites Rob's friends to a celebration of his life at The Cowboy's Pastime in Bruneau on Saturday April 9 from 5-7 p.m.
