Betty Young

Elizabeth "Betty" K. Young, 67, of Mountain Home, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at home, surrounded by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., on Thursday, April 7, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Betty was born on Sept. 30, 1943, in Holyoke, Mass., the daughter of John and Lillian (Woods) Conway. She attended Sacred Heart School in Holyoke.

She resided in Mountain Home for many years.

She worked for Stoneys Desert Inn and Arbys.

She collected Betty Boop memorabilia.

Betty had one daughter and four sons: Katherine Bergeron of Mountain Home; Ralph Young and his wife, Pat, of Ware, Mass.; Patrick Young and his wife, Lana, Jack Young and Kenneth Young, all of Mountain Home. Betty is also survived by two sisters, Marcella Lowe of Holyoke, Mass., and Beatrice Whalen of Albuquerque, N.M., and two brothers, Patrick Conway of Springfield, Mass., and Michael Conway of Mountain Home. Betty also had several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John, her sister, Margaret, her granddaughter, Jennifer, her daughter, Katherine, and two nieces.
