Daryel Crain
Daryel D. Crain, 66, of Mountain Home, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at a Boise hospital.
A private family graveside service was held on Friday, Feb. 4, at Mountain View Cemetery. Daryel's ashes, along with his wife Judy's ashes and son Dwane's ashes were all laid to rest together. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Daryel was born on Aug. 29, 1944, in Fargo, N.D., the son of Glen and Elaine (Hovden) Crain. He attended schools in Mountain Home and graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1963.
Daryel married Judy Clark, on June 17, 1964, in Glenns Ferry. Thereafter they resided in Las Vegas, Nev., for ten years. Daryel worked at Delta Airlines.
In June of 1973, they returned to Mountain Home and Daryel worked for and retired from Simplot in 2006.
Daryel enjoyed fishing, working on old cars, wood working and puttering in his garage.
Daryel is survived by his daughter, DeeDee Lynn Stephens, of Washington, his brother, Gary Crain, of Boise, his sister, Sharon Williams, of Inkom, Idaho, two sisters-in-law, Joyce Boatman and Francie Hepper, both of Nampa, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, his son, Dwane, both his parents and his sister, Charlene Prano.
