Loretta M. Fadeley, 74, of Mountain Home, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at her home, following an illness.
Services will be held at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, on Monday, Feb. 7, with a viewing from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Loretta met Donald Fadeley while working at the Desert Inn restaurant and they were married on Jan. 15, 1965.
She was a military wife and wonderful mother.
She was a long-time resident of Mountain Home even though military orders took her and the family to the Phillipines, California and Florida. After retiring from the military in 1976, Loretta and the family moved back to Mountain Home.
Her hobbies included ceramics, crocheting, bead work, and Artek painting.
She donated to many charities and loved helping others.
She received the Volunteer of The Year Award from High Reachers. She loved doing volunteer work.
She received her GED high school diploma at age 60.
She really enjoyed family being around.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Donald, of Mountain Home, daughter LaVerna and her husband, Robert Turner, of Kentucky, son Dean and his wife, Sandy Kessler, of Kentucky, son Ricky and his wife, Sharon Kessler, of Georgia, daughters Tommie Norwood and Nancy Armenta, both of Mountain Home, stepson Ricky and his wife, Bobbie Fadeley, of Tennessee, sister Maria Brookshire of Oregon, brother Dickie Martin of Missouri, her father, Travis Martin, of Twin Falls, who just turned 100 years old, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Verna, her daughter, Marlena, two brothers and one sister.
