'Counting' on education

Friday, February 4, 2011

From left, Devyn Cubas and Madison and Cidney Bunch use a filled measuring cup to determine the weight of various objects during a math night event Jan. 25 at the Base Primary School.

Sponsored by the school's parents and teachers group, the education event featured an assortment of stations that needed math skills to solve questions posed at each one.

The event, which coincided with the 100th day of the school year, also invited students to dress up as if they were 100 years old.

  • We need to educate our kids on the danger of magnets. The children are our future, we cannot have them being destroyed by magnets.
