Ryker Jayden Longhurst
Ryker Jayden Longhurst, 9 month old son of Albert and Gina Longhurst of Mountain Home, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at a Boise hospital. A memorial service was held at 10:30AM, on January 29, 2011 at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Ryker was born on April 30, 2010, in Boise. Ryker overcame many obstacles at birth just to have the opportunity of coming home to live with his family. He marched to the beat of his own drum and definitely had a say in his medical care by continually defying the doctor's orders. Regardless of all the medical complications, Ryker could still light up the room and make all of our worries disappear.
Ryker is survived by his parents, Albert and Gina, sisters Kilyn and Lexi, maternal grandmother Charlene Wyman and her husband David Wyman of Mtn Home, maternal grandfather Attilio Balatti of Madera, CA, paternal grandmother Marie Evans of Boise, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Ryker was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Albert Longhurst, Sr.
The family would like to thank the Mountain Home Paramedics, St. Luke's Children's Hospital in Boise, Dr. Jill Beck, Dr. Angel Zieba, Dr. Paul Jansen, Scott Hays with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Photography, and everyone for their prayers, meals prepared, plus all the acts of kindness.
Memorials in Ryker's name can be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 101 Warm Springs Ave, Boise, ID 83712, or St. Luke's Children's Hospital Foundation, 190 E. Bannock, Boise, ID 83712.
