Emmy Elston
Emma "Emmy" Maria Elston passed away on Jan. 23, 2011, at a Nampa care center.
A viewing was held on Thursday, Jan. 27, from 4-6 p.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. A private graveside service was held at Mountain View Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Kingdom Hall Church in Mountain Home.
Emmy was born July 1926, in Schweinfurt, Germany, the second of four children. After World War II, she met and married George Elston of Gulfport, Miss. Together they had four children, Lewis, Henry, Paula, and Thomas.
After traveling the world throughout George's career in the Army, the Elston family settled in Mountain Home in July 1974.
George passed in December 1981.
Emmy was a long-time member of the Jehovah's Witness Church and an upstanding member of the community.
Emmy is survived by her children, a sister, Paula, and her brother, Erich, of Germany.
