Open talent search in the Treasure Valley

The Music Theatre of Idaho, the Treasure Valley professional quality,, live musical theatre company, announces auditions for upcoming season 2011. The professionally managed production company is unique in offering performance training and on stage opportunities, on a professional level, to citizens of the Treasure Valley.

The Music Theatre of Idaho is seeking approximately 200 performers to fill roles in eight musical productions through-out 2011. The 2011 company will be ethnically diverse, with roles available for men, women, and young people of all ability and experience levels. Auditions will be held Friday evening, November 12 and all day and evening Saturday, November 13. All auditions will be held a the Nampa Civic Center, 311 3rd St. South, in Nampa, where the Music Theatre of Idaho is the Resident Musical Theatre Company. All auditions are by appointment only. Productions scheduled for season 2011 Season include: Company, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Secret Garden, The Music Man, Hairspray (JUST RELEASED FOR PRODUCTION!), South Pacific, The Wizard of Oz, and A Christmas Carol. A large company of approximately 200 singers, dancers and actors will be cast to fill a variety of roles from lead performer to chorus. 100 children, ages 3-12 will be cast in The Wizard of Oz.
