Alfonso Garza
Alfonso "Fonz" Garza, 44, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Mountain Home, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 10, 2010.
He was born in American Falls, Idaho, on Nov. 3, 1965, to Alejandro and Guadalupe L. Garza.
He received his education in Mountain Home, Idaho, and graduated in 1984. A year later he enlisted in the US Air Force.
After 23 years of faithful service and living in Utah. New Mexico, Florida and Korea, he retired and moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he worked for Edwin Watts Golf Shop (the job of his dreams). He loved golf.
He will be remembered as a devoted and loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He lived a joyful life, always with a smile on his face, because of his personal relationship with God, which was his highest priority. He was an amazing father who was a Godly example to his children. He was a model citizen that served his country and left a legacy for his children and nephews to follow. He was admired and loved by all.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris Mayger Garza, and his three children, Jordan A., Marcos A. and Arianna R. Garza, all of San Antonio, his parents, Alejandro and Guadalupe Garza of Mountain Home, Maria (Walter) Reynolds of Meridian, Idaho, Nora Lee Garza Rosales of Mountain Home, Sonia Garza of Mountain Home, Juan A. Garza of Mountain Home, and Eugenio "Gino" Garza of Boise, Idaho, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaelyn R. Garza.
"But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain." There will not be a day that will go by without a tear to relive the pain for our son, brother, father, husband, and friend. Until the day when we, too, will join him in heaven.
