City, county spar over dispatch costs
A special meeting involving Elmore County and Mountain Home city leaders last week yielded plenty of discussion but failed to reach a decision on keeping local dispatch services running from potential budget cuts.
The May 12 meeting follows nearly a year's worth of dialog between the city and county as they seek a long-term budget solution for the dispatch agency, which services both the city and county.
During these discussions, city and county leaders looked to avoid significant changes or cuts to these services while staying within budgetary constraints, said County Commissioner Connie Cruser.
