Charter high school graduation set for Saturday

Finishing its first full year at its new campus, Richard McKenna Charter High School will celebrate the graduation of eight students during a ceremony Saturday morning.

The commencement begins at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 950 North 7th East Street.

Teachers from the charter school will speak during the graduation ceremony.

  • I went to that school and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. The people who work there are really interested in seeing students succeed and are great people. So much better than at the highschool where all you are is just another face to shove through the system. I am sorry you may have had a bad experience with them but don't think thats all there is to that place. I'd send both my kids there before I would ever put them in the regular schools here if I had my way. The level of personal commitment from the teachers is aove and beyond anything I have seen anywhere else in my life. They are the main reason that I have done as well as I have and did in school. The things I learned there carry on into my every day life not just academically but on the human level. Again, I am sorry you may have had a bad experiance with the school.
