Track team earns victories at Vallivue
The Mountain Home Tigers track squad competed at the Vallivue Invitational Friday at Vallivue High School.
The meet is a relay type of event where teams enter four people in each event and the efforts of the top three determine where a team places in each event.
Mountain Home won six events in the girls' competition. They won the 100-meter high hurdles with Dakota Barrie, Jasmyne Moore and Danielle Perkins. They also won the 300-meter hurdles with Jasmyne Moore, Dakota Barrie and Katie Urquidi.
Jessica Liercke, Kacee Cameron and Marissa Streeter teamed up to win the triple jump for the Mountain Home squad.
Lauren Moore, Jessica Tindall and Marissa Streeter won the 200-meter dash. Mountain Home also won the 4x100-meter relay (Jasmyme Moore, Lauren Moore, Jessica Tindall and Jessica Liercke) and the 4x200-meter relay (Shelby Henrick, Lauren Moore, Jessica Tindall and Jessica Liercke).
In the boys competition, Tyree Harmon, Robert Jackio and Luke Filipovich won the triple jump.
The Tigers have their final home track meet of the season this Thursday against Bishop Kelly, Capital and Mountain View. Action gets underway at 4 p.m.
