Delays push back VA clinic opening

Unexpected delays in needed construction have put its plans about four to five months behind schedule, but the Veterans Administration expects to open a new clinic in Mountain Home this summer.

The Boise VA Medical Center recently awarded a contract to lease building space for a veterans' outpatient clinic at 815 and 809 N. 6th East St. near Elmore Medical Center.

Originally, the medical center expected to open the clinic here this month.
