Arby Arbogast, Jr.
Lester "Arby" F. Arbogast, Jr., 68, of Mountain Home, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at a local hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. A graveside inurnment service will follow with military honors by American Legion Post No. 26. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Arby was born in Syracuse, N.Y., to Lester F. Arbogast, Sr. and Grayce Ernst Arbogast, on July 22, 1941.
Arby served in the US Air Force for 20 years.
In 1961 he married Jeanette Knowlden and together they had five children: Dennis, William, Denise, Bruce and Duane.
They later divorced in 1979.
Arby then went on to marry Marcia Williams in 1985.
After retiring from the Air Force, he then worked at the US Postal Service until he retired from there in 2001.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing "Up Your Giggy" with all of his friends at the Sunset Pub.
His family and friends were always very important to him.
Arby is survived by his wife, Marcia Arbogast ,of Mountain Home, daughters Denise Arbogast and her husband, Randy Call, and Joni and her husband, Chris Ducey, his sons, Dennis Arbogast, Bruce Arbogast, Duane and his wife Christina Arbogast, George and his wife, Laurie DiGiulio, and Frank DiGiulio. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley and her husband, Lloyd Powers, and Joyce and her husband, Gene Lansing, 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, William Arbogast.
