Charles Erixon
Charles W. Erixon, 83, of Red Bluff Calif., formerly of Grand View, Idaho, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010.
Chuck was born on Jan. 16, 1926, in Cass Lake, Minn., to Harriet and David Erixon.
Chuck served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from the US Army with over 20 years of service.
Upon his retirement he and his wife, Norma, settled in Red Bluff, Calif., where he worked for the US Postal Service for 10 years. He then moved to Grand View where he was very active in the community.
In 2004, he and his wife returned to Red Bluff for medical reasons.
Chuck was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Red Bluff, the Rimrock Senior Citizens and the American Legion, Post 134, in Grand View.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Jean, daughter Maryanne of Red Bluff, Calif., son Jim of Roseville, Calif., and daughter Elaine of Grand View, sisters Pat Liddiard and Barb Watson, seven grandchildren, Alecia, Lindsay, John, Jason, Rachael, Christopher and Zach, and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Rimrock Senior Citizens in Grand View Jan. 30 at 11 a.m.
