Boys JV team falls to Timberline, Mountain View as season begins
The Mountain Home Tigers JV squad dropped their first two boys basketball games last week.

The Mountain Home Tigers stayed with Timberline for a quarter, but the Wolves pulled away in the next three quarters to down the Tigers, 53-22 last Tuesday night in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home.
The Tigers led in the first quarter, and were tied at 8-8 at the end of the first quarter, but were out-scored 45-14 the rest of the way in the lopsided loss.
Brent Sexauer led the Tigers in scoring with six points, Tyler Casey added five, Jacob Perry scored four, Ricky Castillo and James Simon two and Anthony Barboza, Jonathan Casper and Justin Connolly each had one point.

Mountain Home lost the lead in the first quarter and had its problems scoring in a 63-33 loss to the JV Mavericks at Mountain View in Meridian last Thursday night.
Mountain Home led 4-1 early, but fell behind 11-6 after a quarter. It was 28-18, Mountain View, at the half and 42-26 Mavericks after three.
Anthony Barboza led Mountain Home with 10 points. Brent Sexauer scored eight, Tyler Casey and Jacob Perry both scored five points, J.T. Cristobal and James Simon each had two and Ricky Castillo scored one.
