Theatrics troupe earn third-place honors in district tourney

Mountain Home High School theatre students brought home the third-place trophy from the District III Drama Competition recently and qualified 21 students to advance to the Idaho State Drama Competition Dec. 4-6.

"This is the most students to qualify for the state tournament over the past 10 years," said advisor Taunya Page.

Those who qualified are:

1. Tisha Carlton, Zack Hall -- Fire Damage (Ensemble Serious).

2. Shelby Henrick, Becky Vogl -- Conflagration (ensemble serious).

3. Jared Gales, Chase Bennett -- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (ensemble humorous).

4. Madison Wallace, Joann King -- Great Ideas (ensemble humorous).

5. Zack Hall, Frankie Wenner -- Peter Pan (ensemble humorous).

6. Tisha Carlton, Alicen Wendell -- The Remix of Oz (ensemble pantomime)

7. Alyssa Cannavo -- Daddy (original serious).

8. Bridget Sinerius, Chasity Custer -- My Name is Kat (original serious).

9. Christina Trouten -- Hot Ukrainian Guy (original humorous alternative)

10. Bridget Sinerius -- Cold Blooded Murder (solo serious)

11. Chasity Custer -- White Oleander (solo serious).

12. Melodie Lettkeman -- Mick Harte Was Here (solo serious).

13. Chase Bennet -- 008 (solo humorous).

14. Colby Hall -- James and the Giant Peach (solo humorous).

15. Frankie Wenner -- Sudden Stop (solo pantomime).
