Thursday, December 3, 2009
Daryl Keck of Hammett will be the guest speaker at the Dec. 3 First Thursday Luncheon starting at noon in the Mountain Home Historical Museum.
Daryl and Jeannette, his wife of 67 years, moved to Hammett in 1962. He has done extensive research into the current-powered ferries. In 1992-93 he built the 32-foot replica that made its debut at the Three Island Crossing celebration in 1993, with Keck as its pilot. Keck is also a member of the Three Island Crossing Committee and was its 2009 honoree for the 24th Annual Three Island Crossing Re-enactment. The museum is located at 180 S. 3rd East St. For more information call 587-6847.
