Mellen Water district debate helps ID where money want

I wish more boards would air their laundry like the Mellen Water District is.

A letter from the past president, current president, secretary and board member.

Each had some excellent points.

The May 13, 2006, letter started out about members of the Mellen Water Board receiving $100 for attending each meeting.

Then as letters pour in from board members a clear picture came to light, that there is a greater monetary issue being revealed. It is obvious that one member of the board has cost the board close to $7,000 in penalties and uncollected water bills.

Sounds like Bart Eben is responsible for mismanagement of funds for the district.

Wonder why the members of the board haven't considered bringing charges against this man?

It is pretty obvious why Mr Eben is not on the board. Hopefully, all the residents of the Mellen Water District will remember this. At least the residents have a pretty good idea where their hard-earned money is going. Down the drain.
