Hoppy Hopfinger

Ernest "Hoppy" P. Hopfiner, 85, formerly of Mountain Home, passed away from a long illness, on Oct. 15, 2009, at his sisteršs home in Wisconsin.

A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Our Lady of Good Counsel and the inurnment with military honors by Mountain Home Air Force Base Honor Guard will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Hoppy was a 30-year Air Force retiree. He spent his last four years in Wisconsin with his sister and family.

Hoppy is survived by a brother in California, a sister in Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Best Friends Animal Rescue in Utah, or a charity of your choice.
