Tiger cross country coach Doug Root was pleased with the efforts by his team.
"We ran well. We had tough competition today. Our number three girl went down on the course, and the girl that's been our number two-three off and on all year long didn't have a good race today. This is Homecoming week and there's a lot of distractions on the Mountain Home kids' minds.
"The boys ran fairly well," he added.
"Looking at the times I doubt that we had any PRs today. This is a lot tougher course than the last three courses we've run. It's a great course with a beautiful setting and boy did we have good weather today."
The Tigers run at the District III 4A cross country meet at Eagle Island State Park this Thursday where Coach Root is hoping for some good efforts from his girls and guys.
"The girls are running second in the district and the boys are running between third and fourth in the district right now. The top four teams go to state. This could be the first time ever that Mountain Home's taken both boys and girls (teams) to state, but we've still got to run that way to get there."
