Schools battling flu illnesses
With the flu season arriving and the current H1N1 virus (swine flu) epidemic underway, the Mountain Home School District has acted fast in spreading the word to schools district wide about what to do to keep students from catching the flu.
The district recently held a special meeting for parents that was organized by Central District Health Department and released a letter to parents discussing what to look for as far as symptoms of the virus. Both provided steps on knowing what to do about the virus.
"We are working with CDHD to keep this matter in the forefront and make sure the parents are well informed," said school superintendent Tim McMurtrey.
