Waltena Lefler
Waltena Z. Lefler, 75, of Mountain Home, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at the home of her son in Fairfield.
A graveside inurnment service was held Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, with friends and family attending. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Waltena "Tena" was born Oct. 27, 1933, at Elgin, Kan., the daughter of Roy and Agnes (Martin) Sheppard. She was raised and attended schools in Oklahoma, Idaho, and Washington.
Tena married Ted L. Lefler on December 24, 1951, at Moses Lake, Wash. Tena traveled with Ted, who was in the United States Air Force, and resided in Washington, Florida, Indiana and New York. They finally settled in Mountain Home where Ted retired from the military.
After retirement they established Tedıs Power Equipment and Rental, which they operated for 13 years. When they sold the business they lived part time in Arizona, and traveled extensively.
Tena is survived by her sons, Harold and his wife, Melody Lefler, of Fairfield, and Robert Lefler of Seattle, Wash.; granddaughters Jessica (Steve) Winings and Mariah Lefler, and great-grandchildren Issac, Sage, Paden and Annakay Winings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, her parents, and her brother and sister.
