Lila Patterson
Lila Ellen Patterson, 77, of Mountain Home, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at a Boise care center.
Lila was born Dec. 4, 1931, in Ralston, Neb., to Henry and Mabel Fedde. She graduated from high school in Ogallala, Neb.
Travel with a capital T was Lilašs goal and she knew entering the military was the way to make it happen. She joined the Air Force in January 1950 at the age of 18. She had several assignments including New York, California and England during her 11-year career. She worked in several areas, including telecommunications, supply and recruiting WAF personnel.
Lila married William Ray Patterson on Oct. 1, 1960, in Reno, Nev.
Some of Lila and Patšs favorite hobbies included camping, hunting and fishing. They shared a love for the outdoors. Lila had a soft spot in her heart for her pets; they always had a dog along for the ride.
Lila is survived by her daughter, Linda Wilson, son-in-law Jess Wilson and grandchildren Samantha and Patrick Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Pat, her parents and her sisters, Mable Miller and Neva Raise.
The family suggests memorials be made in Lilašs honor in lieu of flowers to the Humane Society or a charity of choice.
